As you may recall me mentioning in a previous post, I have a delusional goal of being able to sell my dyed yarn (and maybe handspun) on Etsy. Well, maybe it’s not delusional, but it certainly is far in the future. I’ve found my first base yarn. (A base yarn is the undyed yarn that one then adds colour to.) Therefore, this colorway that I dyed yesterday could be considered my official First Product.
Before I can even consider selling anything, I need to test my product. I need to make sure that the yarn knits up nicely, is comfortable to wear, and does not have strange things going on with the way the colours look. Since this is a sock yarn, I’m currently running it through its paces by knitting a pair of socks to wear around the house.
So, my First Official Product and fifth colourway: Spiders with Guitars.
