…and I just may have to.
Ever take a good look at Balthazar Blake (Nicholas Cage’s character) in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice? Not only is he rockin’ the old man shoes, he’s rockin’ some knitwear as well. Take a gander at his arms. (Insert obligatory goose joke here.)
He’s wearing armwarmers! (Over his sleeves, which is unusual, but I guess you can wear whatever you darn well please when you’re a sorcerer.)
Look again. There’s more.
Not just a pair of armwarmers, but handwarmers as well, in a darker shade of brown, and a lighter weight of yarn! (Again, unusual to wear armwarmers and handwarmers at the same time, but I guess you can wear whatever you darn well please when you’re a sorcerer.)
You know what they say about guys who wear armwarmers and handwarmers at the same time, right? They’re probably compensating for… *glances around and lowers voice* …poor circulation!
Knitters tend to take knitwear in movies or on TV as a challenge. Both the armwarmers and handwarmers look easy enough to duplicate. I may have to give it a go the next time I place an order with KnitPicks.
