Back in 2010, my Halloween costume was Raven again—but this time a masquerade-style raven bird costume, not the superheroine. I never got a good picture of the finished costume that year.
This year, a good friend of mine had her birthday party back in October. (When she has it every year, on account of October being the month containing her birthday.) The theme was Day of the Dead, but I didn’t have any Day of the Dead-y clothes, so I brought out the raven costume again. (AND I won the costume contest!) She finally sent us all the pictures from the party so, two years after sewing it, here’s the raven costume! With more or less nonexistent makeup job because I had to come straight from work and it all fades/smears by the end of the day.
The skeleton, by the way, is named Hezekiah, and he is not a Halloween decoration. He is quite the ladies’ man.
My sister and I never did learn to share.
I’m quite pleased that all the feathers are staying on this costume so well. I inevitably lose a few when I wear it, but I’m not molting. Also, my friends said that my train looks great when I walk down stairs.
